Understanding Our AI Evaluation Process
Your interview will be evaluated using AI designed to assess your professional competencies fairly and consistently. This notice explains how our AI system works and what it evaluates, so you can have confidence in the assessment process.
What the AI Model Evaluates
Our AI system analyzes your responses to questions based on answer (content) quality and depth rather than personal characteristics like accent, speech patterns, or language style. The system is designed to focus on:
- Technical Knowledge & Expertise: Your grasp of key concepts and their practical use in action.
- Communication of Ideas: How clearly and logically you explain your thoughts
- Problem-Solving Approach: Your methodology and reasoning when addressing questions
- Relevant Experience: How you draw on past experience to provide substantive answers
- Professional Judgment: Your decision-making process, troubleshooting and critical thinking when provided with scenarios and problem statements.
What the AI Does NOT Evaluate
The AI system explicitly does not score you on:
- Speaking pace
- Confidence level
- Educational background or demographic factors
- Personal appearance or non-verbal mannerisms
This approach ensures fair assessment across diverse candidates regardless of their communication style or background.
Our Integrity Monitoring
To maintain the fairness and validity of the interview process, our system includes automated monitoring for:
- Unauthorized Assistance: Detecting if answers are being provided by others or sourced from external materials during your interview.
- Process Violations: Identifying any attempts to circumvent interview procedures or technical safeguards.
- Response Authenticity: Ensuring responses genuinely represent your own knowledge and experience.
The level of monitoring is decided by the hiring client. These safeguards protect the integrity of the evaluation for all candidates and help ensure your actual capabilities are being assessed.
Transparency & Fairness
We believe you have the right to understand how you're being evaluated. Our AI evaluation is:
- Objective: Based on consistent, predefined criteria set by the client and applied equally to all candidates.
- Role-Specific: Calibrated to assess competencies relevant to the position you're applying for
- Independent Assessment: Your answers are evaluated independently based on merit. The answers are not compared against other candidates' responses or model answers.
- No Training: Your interview responses are assessed solely to determine if you meet the competency requirements for this role. They are not used to train the AI system.
- Content-Focused: Your answers are judged on the depth, quality, and relevance of your actual knowledge and reasoning, not on the presence or absence of specific buzzwords or keywords.
- Recruiter-Defined Standards: The evaluation criteria are set by your recruiter, hiring manager, or interview administrator based on what matters for success in this specific role.
The AI does not make the final decision about your candidacy. Your responses are initially evaluated by the AI system based on predefined criteria. At the client end, a human recruiter, hiring manager, or authorized decision-maker reviews your evaluation and makes the final hiring decision.
This human-in-the-loop approach ensures the AI is working correctly and that final decisions reflect both objective assessment and human judgment. Your candidacy is ultimately determined by people, not algorithms.
Your Rights & Options
Under data protection and AI transparency rules related to using Xobin's AI Interview (including GDPR Articles 13 & 14 and the EU AI Act Articles 52 & 53), you hold the following rights:
- Request a human review of your evaluation.
- Request deletion of your data subject to legal and organisational retention policies.
