Steps to Integrate Pinpoint with Xobin
Streamline your hiring process by integrating Xobin with Pinpoint! This integration lets you automate assessment invitations, track results, and access detailed reports directly within Pinpoint. Follow the steps below to set up the integration:
Step 1 : Configure the Xobin Assessment Stage in Pinpoint
- Log in to your Pinpoint account and navigate to: Settings > Templates > Hiring Workflows
- Edit an existing workflow or click + Create New to set up a new one.
- Name the workflow something identifiable, e.g., “Xobin Assessment Workflow.”
- Add a new stage to the workflow and name it exactly: Xobin Assessment (mandatory naming).
Step 2: Create Assessment Qualification Tags
- In Pinpoint, go to: Settings > Tag Management
- Click + New Tag Category and name it: “Xobin Assessment” (mandatory naming).
- Under this category, create two tags:
1.Assessment: Passed
2.Assessment: Failed
Step 3: Enable Pinpoint API and Generate an API Key
- In Pinpoint, go to: Settings > Integrations > Apps > Pinpoint API
- Click ADD, then + Create New.
- Name the key (e.g., Xobin Assessment) and enable the following scopes:
- Application: Read, Write
- Custom Attributes: Read, Write, Delete
- Custom Fields: Read, Write, Delete
- Job: Read
- Click Create API Key and copy the generated key.
Step 4: Add API Key to Xobin and Generate Webhook
- Log in to your Xobin dashboard and go to: Settings > Integrations > Pinpoint
- Click the arrow to expand and then Edit.
- Paste the API key and enter your Pinpoint subdomain (e.g., yourcompany.pinpointhq.com).
- A Webhook URL will be generated-copy it.
Step 5: Register the Webhook in Pinpoint
- In Pinpoint, navigate to: Company > Profile > Webhooks
- Click + New Webhook, paste the Webhook URL from Xobin.
- Enable the event: Application stage changed.
- Click Create Webhook.
This ensures candidates are automatically invited to assessments when moved to the Xobin Assessment stage.
Step 6: Verify Custom Fields in Pinpoint
- In Pinpoint, go to: Settings > Custom Fields > Job/Application
- Ensure the following fields appear:
Job Custom Field
- Xobin Assessment (dropdown to select the assessment when creating a job post)
Application Custom Fields
- Assessment Name
- Assessment Status
- Assessment ID
- Qualification
- Assessment Report Link
- Completed Time
- Integrity Score
- Overall Score
Step 7: Trigger Assessment Invite
- Move a candidate to the Xobin Assessment stage in Pinpoint.
- This triggers the webhook and automatically sends the assessment invitation to the candidate.
Step 8: Review Assessment Reports
- After the candidate completes the assessment, the custom fields in their application are updated with results.
- A tag indicating Assessment: Passed or Assessment: Failed is added automatically.
- Click the report link for a detailed breakdown of the candidate’s performance.
