How to Integrate Ashby with Xobin

Integrating Xobin with Ashby allows you to seamlessly send skills assessment tests to candidates and track their performance within your hiring process. Follow these steps to integrate the two platforms:

Step 1: Generate Xobin API Key

• Log into your Xobin dashboard.
• Navigate to the Settings menu and select the Integrations tab on the top right.
• Choose Ashby from the list of available integrations.
• Click on Generate API Key and copy the key that is generated.

Step 2: Enable Xobin Integration in Ashby

• Log into your Ashby dashboard.
• In the top menu, select Admin, then go to Integrations.
• Search for Xobin and click on Enable Xobin.
• Paste the API key from Xobin into the provided field and click Update.

Step 3:Create API Key in Ashby

1. On the left sidebar of the Ashby dashboard, click on API Keys
2. In the top right corner, click New and name your API key (e.g., “Xobin Assessments”).
3. For the integration partner, select Xobin, then click Create API Key.
4. Copy the newly created API key.
5. Go back to the Xobin integrations and make sure the Xobin Assessments API key you just generated is linked over there as well.

Step 4: Finalize Integration in Xobin

1. Go back to your Xobin dashboard and under the Ashby Integration section, click on the Edit button.
2. Paste the Ashby API key into the provided field and click Save .

At this point, your Xobin and Ashby integration is complete!

Step 5: Assign Xobin Assessment to a Candidate

1. In Ashby, click on Candidates in the top menu.
2. Open the candidate for whom you'd like to send an assessment.
3. Select New Activity , choose Assessments , and select Xobin .
4. Search for the desired assessment , select it, and click Add Activity to assign it to the candidate.
5. To send the invite, click on Start Assessment .

Once the candidate completes the test, you can view the results directly in Ashby, including qualification status and completion time. You also have the option to view the full detailed report in Xobin by clicking the View in Xobin button.

Step 6: Automate Assessment Assignment in the Hiring Pipeline

1. In Ashby, go to Jobs in the top menu and select Dashboard .
2. Choose the job for which you’d like to include Xobin assessments.
3. In the Interview Plan section on the left, add a new pipeline stage named Xobin Assessments and click Save .
4. Rearrange the stages as needed.
5. Add the Xobin assessment to this stage by clicking Add Activity , selecting Xobin , and searching for the desired test.
6. To assign the assessment to a candidate, go to the Candidates tab, choose a candidate, and associate them with the job.
7. Move the candidate to the Xobin Assessments stage, and the assessment will be automatically assigned.

Once the candidate completes the assessment, you can view the results, including whether they passed or failed, and access the detailed report.
